"I Say, I've Got My Best Shoes On"
Fri, December 9, 2005 When I went there
I remembered
it's kind of bruised
and disheleved
most of the time
and it's always asking
thoughtful questions
and staring in the mirror
to hopefully catch
an angle
that can make it
seem beautiful
because it doesn't
know
that the layers
and the unspoken words
and the skinned knees
and the lost moments
and the fear
and the inability to move
and the unvisited places
and the unending fidgeting
are beautiful.
I said
take care
for all the breaks
here
and don't choose
pieces.
